DIY Vanilla Latte Coffee Scrub - #A not so white christmas

Hi Sweets,

The holiday season has well and truly arrived and for me there is nothing better than giving gifts to loved ones.  Today I am going to share with you a DIY Body Scrub that is easy to put together but has a lot of thought behind it.

There is nothing better than taking a warm shower, holiday tunes in the background and pampering yourself and that is what this DIY is all about.  A Vanilla Latte Body Scrub, pact full of robust flavours and wonderfully luxurious properties for the skin.  This scrub is a fantastic gift and can be customised to suit the person you are giving the gift to (by choosing specific oils for the scrub).  This scrub will act as a sensational exfoliant, as the baking soda and grounds rub off dead skin cells and the caffeine is meant to help break down cellulite (as caffeine acts as stimulant for the skin).  I have used organic Vanilla essence which is concentrated from the oils and beans.  Vanilla is said to be filled with minerals, is a natural antioxidant and most importantly has lots vitamins.  Vitamin B will help to improve skin tone and as the skin is exfoliated the vanilla will act as a healing buffer.  If that’s not enough, this coffee scrub contains the amazing ingredient of Brown Sugar.  This beauty has two reasons for use.  1.  as an exfoliant and 2.  Brown sugar contains glycolic acid, which is an alpha-hydroxyl acid (this will aid in keeping your skin vivacious and healthy).  The oil is used for its moisturising properties and I have used Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil, but you can use your favourite oil.
All you need to do is mix in the dry ingredients and ensure the dry components are completely combined.  Then you can add the essence and about half the oil and blend.  The texture is up to you but the mixture should be able to crumble but be firm (add the remaining oil until you are happy with the texture).  Store in an air tight container and for a lovely cooling sensation when used and to preserve the scrub, try popping it in the fridge.

This scrub smells delicious like a sweet fresh coffee and leaves the skin feeling supple and smooth.  ( I used half the oil suggested in the ingredients)

What are some of your holiday traditions (Christmas or non Christmas)?

As always thanks for stopping by, please follow my blog using tab on the left if you like, I would love you to join the Sweet family;)
-Thanks, Rachill
